Zipline welcomes more tourists in Mallarani

PYUTHAN: A zipline service has been introduced at Mallarani in Pyuthan district to lure the adventurous tourists there and to promote the touristic value of the site.

For the development of zipline infrastructure, the Mallarani Tourism Investment Company invested Rs 10 million, company’s Chairman Iman Singh Bharati said.

The local residents there had been organizing food festival and other promotional activities.

The zipline has been developed at Dhairechaur community forest and Paleban community forest area at ward number 4 of the rural municipality under the eco-tourism development program.

The total length of the zipline facility is 650 metres. The locals and stakeholders have expected surge in the number of visitors with the infrastructure.

More than 200 persons can enjoy the zipline service in a day. Mallarani area, which lies some two kilometres away from the district headquarters of Pyuthan, is a good destination for eco-tourism and is a point to view Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt Machhapuchhre and other peaks.

In order to attract more domestic tourists, the Mallarani Rural Municipality is mulling construction of a children’s park and had already successfully conducted a test flight of paragliding there. However, paragliding could not last long.

The area receives more domestic tourists during the time of New Year, Fagu Purnima, time of rhododendron blossoming season and other holidays as well, the local residents shared.
