Bangladesh beats Nepal to reach U-19 Women’s Asia Cup Final

KATHMANDU: Bangladesh defeated Nepal to secure a spot in the final of the U-19 Women’s Asia Cup at Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur.

After being asked to bat first in a match delayed by rain, Nepal struggled to get going, losing wickets at regular intervals. They managed to score just 54 runs in 11 overs.

As the match was affected by rain, the game was cut short to 11 overs.

In reply, Bangladesh easily chased down the target, thanks to a solid 46-run stand between their openers, who batted in more favorable conditions. Bangladesh won by 9 wickets with 7 balls to spare.

This was Nepal’s only loss in the tournament.

Bangladesh will face India in the final.
