NC Vice President Gurung demands action against Home Minister Lamichhane

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) Vice President Dhanraj Gurung has submitted a petition in Parliament demanding action against Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane.

Gurung has accused Lamichhane of defaming opposition lawmakers, falsifying facts, and exaggerating the red passport issue, which was settled by the Supreme Court 16 years ago.

The NC Vice President handed the petition to Speaker Devraj Ghimire.

“When the Home Minister makes baseless and unethical statements, it undermines the dignity of Parliament. I challenge him to prove his claims. If he cannot, I demand action against him,” Gurung said.
