Janamat Party decides to give vote of confidence to PM Dahal



KATHMANDU: The Janamat Party has decided to give a vote of confidence to Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda.

Janamat Party chief whip Anita Devi Sah said that the decision has been made to support Prime Minister Dahal.

Prime Minister Dahal is taking a vote of confidence in the House of Representatives today in accordance with Article 100, Clause 2 of the Constitution of Nepal, which stipulates that a vote of confidence must be taken within 30 days if the party represented by the Prime Minister splits or if a party participating in the government withdraws its support.

Prime Minister Dahal is seeking this vote of confidence following the departure of the Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal, led by then Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Upendra Yadav, from the government.
