Nepali nationals granted access to Indian SIM cards

KATHMANDU: Nepali citizens can now easily acquire Indian SIM cards, announced Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma, Nepal’s Ambassador to India.

This decision comes after the Indian government’s approval, responding to Nepal Embassy’s request.

Eligible documents for obtaining the SIM include passport, citizenship certificate, voter’s ID, or embassy-issued identification.

Previously, Nepali nationals faced restrictions, necessitating them to use SIM cards registered under Indian citizens.
