RPP Chairman denies decision to recall Speakers in Koshi and Bagmati Provinces

KATHMANDU: The Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), while visiting Koshi Province, has refuted claims that the party has made a decision to call back the Speakers of Koshi and Bagmati Provinces.

In a statement to Khabarhub.com, Chairman Lingden clarified that, despite announcing upcoming programs of protests and demonstrations, no official decisions have been made regarding the recall of its Speakers.

Lingden emphasized that discussions within the party are ongoing, and any such action has not been finalized.

Currently, RPP holds the position of Speaker in Bagmati and Koshi Provinces, extending support to UML in Bagmati and Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Center) in Koshi.

Ambhar Bahadur Bista serves as the Speaker in the Koshi Provincial Assembly, while Bhuvan Pathak holds the position in Bagmati Province.

The RPP has recently voiced its dissatisfaction with federalism and is grappling with internal disagreements regarding the party’s participation in the government.
