Birgunj dry port collects 12.7 billion in revenue in three months

BIRGUNJ (PARSA): The dry port customs office at Sirsiya, Birgunj has collected revenue of Rs 12.7 billion during the three months of the current financial year.

The collection is 21.25 percent revenue of the total annual target.

Chief customs officer of the dry port customs office, Dhan Bahadur Baruwal, said the revenue collection has decreased by Rs. 250 million compared to the corresponding period of last year.

In the first month of the current year, i.e. Saun, the office collected 79.28 percent of the monthly target, 88.50 percent in second month or Badau and 90.31 percent in the third month or Asoj.

According to the dry port customs office, during the first three months of the last financial year, revenue worth Rs 13.1 billion had been collected.
