Kathmandu Mayor supporters assaulted in National Day Concert in Durbar Marg



KATHMANDU: Supporters of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah were assaulted in Durbar Marg. A group of youths chanting slogans in support of Balen were attacked by another group.

The incident occurred when a small group at the ‘National Day Concert’ began chanting “Balen! Balen!” The identities of those involved in the assault, both the attackers and the victims, have not yet been revealed.

The National Day Concert organized to mark Constitution Day, saw a large number of youths gathering with national flags.
