RPP will stand as a strong opposition: Rajendra Lingden

KATHMANDU: Rajendra Lingden, the chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), has stated that his party will stand as a strong opposition in the House of Representatives.

Speaking with Khabarhub on Friday, Lingden mentioned that the RPP will neither support nor vote in favor of Prime Minister KP Oli in the upcoming vote of confidence on Sunday.

“We had considered supporting the government if there was an agenda for a constitutional amendment, but this issue has now been sidelined. Since other issues and agendas of the RPP are also not being included, we will neither vote for nor support Oli,” he said.

Lingden added that if the current government shows flexibility towards the agendas proposed by the RPP, they might consider support in the future.

He expressed his support for the discussions held among the three opposition parties and asserted that, as a responsible opposition, the RPP will continue dialogue and cooperation on national issues.
