Police constable found dead at Parliament Secretariat



KATHMANDU: A tragic incident unfolded as a security guard assigned to the Parliament Secretariat was discovered deceased.

Central Police Spokesperson Dan Bahadur Karki stated the death of 22-year-old police constable Ajit Gole from Dolakha Melung-4.

It appears that Gole may have taken his own life by shooting himself, stated Karki, who confirmed an ongoing investigation into the matter.

The tragic discovery occurred around 8:30 am in a restroom near gate number two of the Parliament Building.

Constable Gole was serving with the Central Special Task Force of the Nepal Police, stationed at the Federal Parliament Security Base in New Baneswor.
