HoR meeting taking place today

Motion to withdraw party-related bill to be tabled



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is scheduled to meet today at 11 a.m. at Federal Parliament building, New Baneswor.

During today’s meeting, Speaker Devraj Ghimire is scheduled to read out a letter from the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers concerning an increase in responsibility.

Additionally, Speaker Ghimire will nominate members to preside over the meeting in accordance with Rule 10 of the House of Representatives Rules 2079.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda will table a copy of the President’s address to the joint meeting of both houses of the Federal Parliament.

The Prime Minister will also submit the annual report of the Government of Nepal for 2079-80, as required by Article 53 of the Constitution of Nepal.

Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Supply Damodar Bhandari is scheduled to present the ‘Ordinance to amend certain Nepal Acts related to Investment Facilitation, 2081’.

Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane has an agenda to present a proposal to withdraw the ‘Regarding Political Parties (Second Amendment) Bill, 2080’.
