Early setback for Nepal as two wickets fall in powerplay against UAE



KATHMANDU: Nepal is currently batting against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the semi-final match of the ACC Premier Cup on Friday.

After winning the toss, UAE elected to bowl first, putting Nepal in to bat.

However, Nepal faced an early setback, losing two wickets and scoring 30 runs in the first six overs.

The crucial wickets of Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Sheikh were lost during the powerplay, with Muhammad Junaid Siddique and Omid Shafi Rahman claiming one wicket each for UAE.

Currently, Captain Rohit Poudel and Sandeep Jhora are at the crease, aiming to build a strong partnership and stabilize Nepal’s innings.
