Shalini Pokharel Case: Three arrested for investigation released on Bail



KATHMANDU: The three individuals detained in connection with the death of 14-year-old Shalini Pokharel, found dead at a Student Hostel in Chitwan, have been released on bail.

According to Chitwan District Court sources, the detained Principal Balhari Devkota, Vice Principal Kiran Bahadur Adhikari, and Hostel Warden Kamal Prasad Sharma have been granted bail.

The decision to release them on bail was made by Judge Ramesh Prasad Gyawali of the Chitwan District Court.

The court ordered a bail of Rs 300,000 for school
Principal Devkota and Rs 500,000 each for Vice Principal Adhikari and Hostel Warden Sharma.

Following Shalini’s death, the police had arrested the three individuals for investigation.

During the investigation, it was confirmed that Shalini had died by suicide.

Subsequently, the case against the three individuals detained was related to abetment to suicide.
