HoR Meeting: NC unsatisfied with Prime Minister’s response

KATHMANDU: Ramesh Lekhak, the chief whip of the Nepali Congress (NC), has expressed dissatisfaction with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’s response to questions regarding Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Rabi Lamichhane’s involvement in a cooperative case.

During the parliamentary session, Lekhak stated that he found the Prime Minister’s response regarding the recent inquiries into Rabi Lamichhane’s actions difficult to comprehend.

“There is a pattern of resignation when moral questions arise concerning a minister’s character,” Lekhak noted, referring to past cases involving former ministers. He added, “Why hasn’t the Home Minister resigned?”

Lekhak asserted that the Prime Minister had received numerous complaints from victims in Pokhara regarding Rabi Lamichhane.

“Did you not meet with the victims of the cooperative fraud during your visit to Pokhara?” the NC Chief Whip reminded the Prime Minister.
