KATHMANDU: National Planning Commission (NPC) Vice Chairman Dr Min Bahadur Shrestha and World Bank (WB) Country Director for Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka, Faris Hadad-Zervos held a meeting today.
In the meeting took place at the NPC office in Singha Durbar, discussions were held on how to synchronize between the WB’s Country Partnership Framework (CPF) and the 16th periodic plan of Nepal, the NPC Vice-Chair’s Secretariat stated.
During the meeting, Vice-Chair Shrestha said that the 16th plan which is currently in drafting process will be centred on infrastructure building, social sector reforms, increasing production and employment generation.
He stated that the 16th plan gives special attention to identify and resolve the existing structural problems.
The NPC Vice-Chair expressed gratitude to the development partners, including the WB, for their assistance to Nepal.
