Stating that the programme will be conducted in 753 local levels, he said the female health volunteers have been mobilize at schools, the ward offices and other convenient places for this purpose.

Each year, children aged six months to under five years are administered Vitamin ‘A’ capsules and de-worming tablets under the National Immunization Programme.

“Immunization as well as nutrition both are inevitable for the holistic development of children. We have the goal of administering Vitamin A capsules to around 2.1 million children aged six months to less than five years, and the de-worming tablets to 1.8 to 1.9 million children aged one year to less than five years,” Thapa added.
