KATHMANDU: Surya Nepal Premier Golf Championship is starting today at Gokarna Golf Club and will continue until Friday.
The winner of the 72-hole tournament will receive Rs 275,000, the runner-up Rs 175,000, the third runner-up Rs 122,000, the fourth runner-up Rs 120,000, and the fifth runner-up Rs 88,000.
Golfers finishing in the top 21 will also receive cash prizes.
A cut will be applied after the completion of the first two stages of the competition.
According to the organizers, amateur golfers will be able to compete in the final 36 holes to aim for a place in the top 21 professionals and make the cut.
