KATHMANDU: Top leaders of ruling parties and main opposition parties, including the Nepali Congress, are holding talks today in a bid to end the ongoing impasse in the parliament.

According to NC leader Ramesh Lekhak, the leaders are scheduled to hold a meeting at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.

The talks, earlier scheduled to be held on Friday evening, was postponed citing PM Dahal’s busy schedule.

Even though Lekhak said Friday’s meeting was postponed, he did not reveal the reason for the postponement.

It should be noted that the NC, which has been obstructing the House of Representatives demanding the formation of a parliamentary investigation committee, held a meeting of its Parliamentary Party meeting on Friday morning.
