Woman arrested for infant abduction from Paropakar Maternity Hospital released on bail



KATHMANDU: A woman accused of abducting a 26-day-old infant from Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital was granted bail on Monday.

The Kathmandu District Court ordered the woman’s release on bail set at Rs 150,000.

The accused, Man Kumari Singh, originally from Namune Rural Municipality-1 and currently residing in Kandaghari, Kathmandu, allegedly abducted the baby belonging to Sabina Shrestha from the hospital premises.

Following the abduction, Singh was apprehended in possession of the infant in Kandaghari, Kathmandu.
