Film Development Board should be autonomous: Actor Bhuwan KC



HETAUDA: Executive Chairman of Film Development Board (FDB) Nepal, Actor Bhuvan KC, has said that the Board cannot function effectively unless it is autonomous.

Speaking at the opening program of the First National Convention of and film journalism workshop organized by the Film Journalists Association in Hetaunda on Sunday.

He also said that the procedure has been advanced to make the Film Development Board autonomous.

“We have problems with the Film Act and within it, the Board itself is not autonomous”, he said, “Until it is autonomous, the Film Development Board cannot do much work.”

Actor KC shared that his team plans to take initiative prioritizing the Board’s autonomy.
