RSP witnesses intense discussion on cooperative issues

KATHMANDU: The central committee meeting of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) witnessed a fervent debate surrounding the topic of cooperatives.

Dr. Swarnim Wagle, the Vice Chairman of the Party and Member of Parliament, took the floor to provide a comprehensive briefing on the state of cooperatives across the country.

Following Wagle’s presentation, party leaders unanimously decided that all party members in the Parliament would actively advocate for cooperative issues in the House of Representatives.

With 40 central members in attendance, the meeting, chaired by Wagle, who also serves as the Coordinator of the party’s Finance Department, saw the presentation of a draft report on cooperatives.

Wagle highlighted the key aspects of cooperatives nationwide and outlined the parliamentary topics to be addressed when the session resumes.

After a thorough half-hour briefing, RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane said that he would review the report.

Wagle has compiled a detailed report on the status of cooperatives in the country.

The report encompasses an analysis of profit and loss within cooperatives nationwide, the membership statistics, instances of fraud, and other pertinent details, according to RSP.

Once the report is received by the party, the party would draft a letter and provide recommendations to the government.
