Educational institutions closed due to increasing cold

BANKE: Institutional and community schools in Nepalgunj have been closed for three days due to the surge in cold temperatures.

Gorkha Bahadur Thapa, Chief of the Education Division at the Nepalgunj sub-metropolis, announced the closure of schools from January 17 to 19, aiming to protect children from the harsh cold.

“The intensifying cold weather has disrupted teaching and learning activities, prompting our decision to temporarily shut down schools,” he stated.

The week-long cold wave has not only posed challenges to daily life but also brought about issues of smog and fog, causing considerable inconvenience to the residents.
