KATHMANDU: The CPN-Unified Socialist has decided not to pursue any unification with other political parties at the moment.
The party’s ongoing standing committee meeting concluded that no unification will take place unless there is alignment in future plans and principles.
The decision came after the party passed a proposal from General Secretary Ghanashyam Bhusal, which also emphasized strengthening the party’s organization and preparing for upcoming elections.
The party has decided to field its own candidates across the country.
The meeting, which began on December 11 at the party’s central office in Aloknagar, included discussions on the party’s action plan moving forward.
Vice Chair Jagannath Khatiwada shared that the party will also launch a new program, “Party with Village People,” to help consolidate its grassroots organization.
Additionally, a taskforce led by Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal will soon present a division of responsibilities among party leaders.
The meeting is expected to endorse the plan, which will appoint competent leaders to head various departments and affiliated organizations.
