RSP not to field candidate for Mayor in Kirtipur

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has announced that it will not field candidates for the positions of Mayor and two Ward Chairpersons in Kirtipur.

The party stated that the party has not found suitable candidates to field for these positions.

Previously, the name of Jayram Karki had been proposed as a candidate for Mayor.

However, the RSP has now decided not to contest the elections for the mayoral position in Kirtipur.

Instead of fielding its own candidates, the RSP has indicated that it will support a suitable candidate.

The party said that a final decision on who to support has not yet been made.
