Kathmandu faces increased smog as temperatures plummet

KATHMANDU: With the drop in temperatures, air pollution in the valley has worsened, leading to noticeable smog since Thursday morning.

According to the US air quality index (AQI) gauge, Kathmandu’s air quality is currently 113 on Thursday.

The website, which analyzes air quality indices, currently ranks Kathmandu 8th in terms of air pollution, with Delhi, India, topping the list.
