Prachanda vows to unite Maoist factions, strengthen party



KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has reiterated his commitment to uniting all Maoist factions and strengthening the party.

Speaking at the second conference of the party-aligned Rukum Paschim-Kathmandu Liaison Committee in Kathmandu on Saturday, Prachanda highlighted his government’s efforts towards good governance, social justice, and prosperity during its tenure.

Prachanda emphasized that the ongoing debates within the party have further unified the Maoist Centre as it prepares for a socialist revolution.

He also mentioned that the document presented by party leader Janardan Sharma at the standing committee meeting would be incorporated into the party’s report for the upcoming central committee meeting.

Pledging to make the party more robust, Prachanda assured that efforts are underway to bring together all Maoist factions under a united front.

Assistant General Secretary of the CPN (Maoist Centre) Janardan Sharma also addressed the gathering, expressing his unwavering commitment to strengthening the party.

Sharma asserted that he has always worked for the party, the movement, the leadership, and the people.

He also addressed the concerns raised about his efforts to promote party-building agendas, affirming his dedication to the cause.
