MoU signed for research on Nepali language and literature

VARANASI: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Nepal Academy and Banaras Hindu University’s Department of Indian Languages, Faculty of Arts, in Varanasi, India.

The agreement aims to conduct research on Nepali language, literature, culture, and philosophy.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Dhanprasad Subedi, Member-Secretary of the Nepal Academy, and Prof. Diwakar Pradhan, Head of the Department of Indian Languages at the university.

Under this agreement, both parties will organize interaction and exchange programs on Nepali language, literature, and philosophy, involving literary figures and institutions from both Nepal and India.

Additionally, the agreement includes cooperation in research and translation efforts to promote and advance the Nepali language.

The Nepal Academy will also provide scholarships and internships to research students studying in the Department of Indian Languages at Banaras Hindu University.
