NEPSE witnesses double-digit decline on Sunday

KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) experienced a double-digit decline on Sunday, marking the first trading day of the week.

The Nepali stock market index dropped by 10.62 points, settling at 2070.25 points today.

The market showed a downward trend from the beginning of trading, maintaining stability until closing.

Despite attempts to improve in the final 20 minutes of trading, they proved unsuccessful.

There was a slight improvement of 6 points in the market during the last 20 minutes.

Today, 8,406,076 shares from 304 companies were traded, amounting to Rs. 3,387,980,384.

Most sub-indices in the market saw a decline on the first trading day of the week.

While the Development Bank Group, Financial Group, and Production and Processing Group witnessed an increase, all other groups experienced a decrease today. The Development Bank Group increased by 0.82 percent, Financial by 0.62 percent, and Production by 0.29 percent, respectively.

While the share prices of 84 companies increased in the market, those of 150 companies decreased today.
