Man nabbed on allegation of raping 30-year-old woman in Kanchanpur



KANCHANPUR: Kanchanpur police has arrested a man for allegedly raping a 30-year-old woman in Kanchanpur.

Hari Chandra Rana, 40, of Belauri Municipality-7, Tedia, Kanchanpur, was arrested on Saturday afternoon on charges of forcefully assaulting the woman.

Rana had allegedly committed the assault on the woman in a nearby sugarcane field on February 6.

Following the complaint from the victim, Rana was arrested by the police team from the Belauri Area Police Office and is currently in custody.

The police have initiated necessary investigations into the incident.
