Govt appoints Devraj Dhungana as Security Printing Center chief

KATHMANDU: The government has appointed Devraj Dhungana from Morang as the new executive director of the Security Printing Center.

The decision was made during the Council of Ministers’ meeting held at Singha Durbar on Monday.

Government spokesperson Prithvi Subba Gurung announced that Dhungana will lead the center in handling the systematic printing of excise duty stickers, smart cards, landownership certificates, passports, and banknotes.

In the same meeting, the government made several key decisions. It approved a USD 100 million loan from the Asian Development Bank for a green, resilient, and inclusive development program.

The Council also decided to resolve compensation issues related to the Nagdhunga Tunnel Project and approved an agreement with India to improve drinking water and sanitation services.

Additionally, the National Urban Policy was approved to guide urban development.

The meeting also decided that the Ministry of Sports will honor 35 athletes, coaches, and staff who won medals in international football, karate, and beach volleyball competitions.
