SC ruling allows UML to build central office on donated land

KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court has dismissed the writ petition challenging the land donation made by Min Bahadur Gurung, the owner of Bhatbhateni Superstore, for the construction of the CPN-UML party central office.

A joint bench of Justices Bal Krishna Dhakal and Abdul Aziz Musalman issued the dismissal order on Monday after hearing the case. The petition was filed by advocate Gyan Kumar Basnet.

With this decision, the construction of the UML central office building on the donated land in Kirtipur Municipality can now proceed without legal obstacles.
