One dead, five injured in tractor mishap in Bhaktapur



BHAKTAPUR: A person died and five others were hurt when a tractor met an accident in Bhaktapur district today.

The tractor (Na 2 Ta 9430) heading towards Dekocha from Changunarayan in the district fell off the road after losing its balance.

Hari Govinda Suwal, 45, resident of Changunarayan municipality-5 was killed in the incident, according to District Police Office, Bhaktapur.

DSP Dundiraj Neupane shared that Suwal succumbed to the injury and breathed his last while undergoing treatment.

Likewise, injured in the accident were Radhika Awal, 35, Gopal Koju, 60, Radheshya Sitikhu,44 and Purna KC Shilpakar, 74.

Those sustaining injuries in the incident are from Changunarayan-5, said DSP Neupane, adding that the injured ones have returned home after minor treatment.

Ganesh Suwal, 48, who was the tractor driver and got injured, is being treated at the Bhaktapur Hospital currently, police said, adding that further investigation into the case was underway.
