HoR and National Assembly prorogued



KATHMANDU: The current session of both houses of the Federal Parliament has been prorogued.

It has been announced that the sessions of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly will conclude on Monday at midnight.

During today’s meeting of the fourth session of the House of Representatives, Speaker Devraj Ghimire stated that the session would end at 12 p.m.

The government had recommended to President Ram Chandra Paudel on Sunday that the session be prorogued.

Following this, President Paudel issued a letter formally ending the session, which was subsequently read by Speaker Ghimire.

Similarly, the National Assembly’s current session has also been concluded.

National Assembly Speaker Narayan Prasad Dahal announced in today’s meeting that the fourth session of the National Assembly would end at 12:00 p.m.
