Dudhkoshi Flood: Security personnel conduct search and rescue operations in Thame



KATHMANDU: Security personnel have arrived in Thame village, Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality-5, Solukhumbu district of Nepal, following a severe flood triggered by a glacier lake burst in the Dudhkoshi River.

According to Devi Pandey Khatri, the Chief District Officer of Solukhumbu, Nepal Police and Nepal Army personnel have been deployed in the area to carry out search and rescue operations.

Preliminary reports indicate that five people stranded in the river have been rescued, while one individual remains missing.

Additionally, around 20 houses in the village have been inundated by the flood.
