KATHMANDU: The influence of the monsoon continues to be felt across the country, with the monsoon low-pressure line currently situated around its average position.

The Weather Forecasting Division has reported that light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is likely in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces today.

This afternoon, the weather will be partly to mostly cloudy. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely at various locations throughout all provinces.

Tonight, the country will experience generally cloudy conditions.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is anticipated in some areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two locations within Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

In the next 24 hours, light to moderate rains are expected in one or two places across all provinces, with heavier rainfall possible in some areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

The Division has advised vigilance due to potential impacts on daily life, including agriculture, health, tourism, mountain climbing, and transportation.
