International Tourism Fair concludes, attracting over 5,000 visitors

KATHMANDU: The two-day Nepal International Tourism Fair, aimed at promoting tourism internationally, concluded successfully on Saturday.

Organized by Summit Events Markets with the support of the Nepal Tourism Board and Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), the fair commenced on Friday.

Sunita Dangol, Deputy Mayor of KMC, highlighted the necessity of continuing such programs to promote tourism in Nepal.

She assured participants of KMC’s ongoing support in promoting Kathmandu’s heritage and tourist areas.

Dangol encouraged attendees to share the beauty of Nepal with their home countries.

Ram Prasad Sapkota, Vice Chair of Nepal Tourism Board, praised the fair for its role in promoting Nepal’s tourism in the international market, commending the private sector’s efforts.

The fair featured participation from the Malaysia Tourism Board and Bihar Tourism Board of India, with stalls hosted by 150 tourism professionals from 16 countries.

Summit Events Markets Managing Director Bishnu Pandey reported that the fair drew over 5,000 visitors. A group discussion on tourism promotion was also held.

Following the success of this inaugural fair, organizers announced the second edition scheduled for May 30 and 31 next year.
