19 houses burned, 25 families displaced in Rangeli fire

MORANG: A fire engulfed the Rangeli-3 Babusahab Tol area of the Santal settlement, resulting in 19 houses being burnt down, according to the local police office in Rangeli.

SP Buddhi Chaulagain reported that the fire, which started around 2:30 PM today, was brought under control after sustained efforts from the fire brigades of various municipalities in Morang.

He mentioned that many houses in the nearby settlement suffered damages due to the fire.

The fire was finally brought under control after three hours of efforts by the fire brigades from Kankai, Rangeli, Belbari, Pathari-Sanischare, and Sundar Haraicha Municipality, with assistance from the Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and the local community, the police shared.
