Earthquake jolts Bajhang

KATHMANDU: Bajhang served as the epicenter for an earthquake that occurred this morning, as confirmed by Senior Seismologist Dr. Lok Bijay Adhikari from the National Earthquake Measurement Center.

The tremor of 4.4 magnitude at arounf 9:32 am was felt across half a dozen neighboring districts, triggering concerns among residents and officials alike.

“There have been more than 600 aftershocks in the area since the last earthquake some five months back,” he said.

To recall, the previous year, Bajhang experienced a magnitude 6.3 earthquake.
