More people leaving the country in search of jobs



KATHMANDU: The number of Nepalis going abroad for foreign employment has increased compared to the same period last year.

According to the “Current Macroeconomic and Financial Situation” report published by Nepal Rastra Bank, The number of Nepali workers, both institutional and individual, taking first-time approval for foreign employment remained 76,485 while those taking approval for renew entry was 40,583.

The number of Nepalis receiving final labor approval (both institutional and individual – new) for foreign employment was 74,455 and 32,004, respectively, in the same period of the previous fiscal year
