KATHMANDU: The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has announced that all preparations for the SAFF Women’s Football Championship 2024 have been completed.
The South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) is set to take place in Nepal from October 17 to October 30 at Dasarath Stadium in Kathmandu.
In a press conference today, ANFA Spokesperson Suresh Shah shared that the participating include host Nepal as well as India, the Maldives, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Bangladesh.
As of now, teams from Pakistan, the Maldives and Bangladesh have arrived in Nepal while Indian and Bhutanese teams are expected to land in Kathmandu tomorrow, informed Spokesperson Shah.
Training facilities have been arranged for the players at ANFA Complex, Nepali Army’s sports ground at Bhadrakali and at Lagankhel besides St Xavier’s sports ground.
The Mount Everest Sports and Events has been awarded ticketing rights for the sports event.
Tickets for the group stage are priced at Rs 300 for general admission while Rs 500 for VIP access.
Likewise, tickets will cost Rs 500 for general seats and Rs 1000 for VIPs for the knockout stage matches. However, children aged 10 or under will be allowed free entry to watch the matches, the ANFA said.
