Prachanda rules out joining coalition government

JHAPA: Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has announced that his party will not participate in forming a new ruling coalition.

Speaking at a program in Birtamod of Jhapa, on Sunday, Prachanda stated that the Maoist Centre will refrain from joining the government or engaging in coalition talks.

“The Maoist Centre will focus on reaching out to the people and organizing them rather than participating in power-sharing games,” Prachanda said, while also welcoming leaders and cadres from other parties into the Maoist Centre.

He advised the ruling Nepali Congress and CPN-UML not to seek the Maoist Centre’s involvement in power-sharing arrangements.
