Hearing on cricketer Lamichhane’s case to continue today



KATHMANDU: The hearing on cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane’s appeal against the Kathmandu District Court’s ruling in a rape case at the Patan High Court will continue today as well.

On Tuesday, judges Sudarshan Dev Bhatta and Anju Upetri Dhakal presided over the hearing, with the proceedings set to resume on Wednesday.

In the initial verdict, the Kathmandu District Court sentenced Sandeep to 8 years of imprisonment for the alleged rape incident in Gaushala 26.

Subsequently, Sandeep lodged an appeal with the Patan High Court, where the case has faced postponement on five occasions.
