Police nab nine including Bibeksheel Sajha’s Chair and General Secretary

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested nine individuals, including the Chairman of Bibeksheel Sajha Party, Samikshya Banskota, and the General Secretary, Ranju Darshana.

Police apprehended Baskota and Darshana, among others, for their involvement in a protest staged in defiance of the restricted area declaration in Maitighar Mandala.

The arrested individuals, including central members Ajit Khadka, Surendra Ranabhat, and leaders Sakil Ahmad, Utsav Adhikari, Uttam Khanal, and Yujan Rajbhandari, were taken into custody from the Maitighar area.

Vice-Chairperson Prakash Chandra Pariyar condemned the arrest and demanded immediate release of the arrested leaders.
