HoR meeting adjourned till Sunday

KATHMANDU: The parliamentary session abruptly disrupted on Friday has been adjourned until Sunday following opposition from the main opposition party, Nepali Congress (NC).

During the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting, NC lawmakers protested and demanded the resignation of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane for his alleged involvement in the cooperatives related frauds.

In response to the ongoing protest, Speaker Devraj Ghimire postponed the meeting.

Despite the meeting resuming after a 10-minute adjournment, the NC lawmakers persisted in their protest against Lamichhane.

Consequently, Speaker Ghimire announced the adjournment of the meeting until 11 a.m. on Sunday, March 17.
