Special Court declares 12, including Shobhakant Dhakal and Ramkumar Subedi, guilty in Baluwatar land scam

The Special Court has announced 12 individuals, including Shobhakant Dhakal and Ramkumar Subedi, guilty in the Lalita Niwas land misappropriation case. The verdict was announced by the bench comprising Special Court Chair Tek Narayan Kunwar, along with judges Khushi Prasad Tharu, Ram Bahadur Thapa, and Ritendra Thapa. Three former ministers, including former Deputy Prime Minister Bijay Kumar Gachchadhar, have been acquitted in the case related to government land at Lalita residence in Baluwatar.

On Thursday, the stock market experienced a downturn, registering a decrease of 14.46 points, ultimately closing at 2062.03 points. A total trading volume of 3 billion 86 crore 91 lakh 18 thousand 741 rupees was recorded, involving the buying and selling of 1 crore 14 lakh 7 thousand 264 shares from 305 different companies.

Health Minister Basnet inspects Bir Hospital

Health Minister Mohan Bahadur Basnet, has brought to light concerning practices at Bir Hospital’s medicine shop after an inspection on Thursday. It was discovered that a significant portion of the hospital’s medications were being diverted to external pharmacies. Minister Basnet stated that during the inspection, it became evident that two internal medicine shops at Bir Hospital were supplying medicines to external outlets.

KMC introduces IHIMS, requiring health facilities to submit monthly report online

The health facilities operating within the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) are required to submit their monthly report online. The health facilities registered as private or community hospitals and polyclinics in all the 32 wards of the KMC have to submit their monthly reports via the online system, said the KMC Officiating Departmental Chief, Sajina Maharjan.
