POKHARA: Gandaki Province MP Bimala Gauchan has passed away. She died last night in Kathmandu.

After falling ill, she was taken to the hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead.

She was a proportional representative (PR) from the Nepali Congress in Gandaki Province, hailing from Myagdi.

A few days prior, she had been infected with dengue. The exact cause of her death has not been confirmed, but family members suspect it may have been a heart attack.
