KATHMANDU: The Medical Education Commission has announced that it will refund the entrance examination fees to students who were unable to attend the entrance exam due to ineligibility.
Following directives from the Minister for Education, Science, and Technology, the Commission decided to return the fees to applicants who did not meet the minimum educational qualifications required for the exam.
An executive committee meeting of the Commission, held on Wednesday, made this decision, according to Under-Secretary Manju Adhikari.
Adhikari stated that the fees would be refunded to the ineligible applicants if they present evidence when visiting the Commission.
The Commission had initially opened the application process for various educational programs under medical education before the release of grade 12 results.
Although there was no prior practice of refunding fees to ineligible students, the decision was made in response to the Education Minister’s directive.
The Commission is scheduled to conduct entrance exams for various Bachelor’s level programs from August 17 to 21.
