Health Minister vows to elevate Kanti Children’s Hospital to international standards

KATHMANDU: Health and Population Minister Pradip Paudel has pledged to elevate Kanti Children’s Hospital to international standards.

During an inspection visit to the hospital in Maharajganj, Minister Paudel emphasized the need to enhance service effectiveness and maintain high standards of hygiene.

He remarked, “Patients should not feel neglected when they come here. The work being done with limited resources is commendable, but the state and the people expect even more from you.”

On this occasion, Ministry Secretary Dr. Roshan Pokharel noted that the hospital’s budget has been increased by 10 percent this year compared to last year.

He stated, “We are expanding the hospital due to the trust the public places in it and its current capacity. We are optimistic about its future.”

Hospital Director Dr. Pankaj Ray emphasized the need for greater support from the Ministry to further enhance the hospital’s capacity and services.

During the visit, Minister Paudel also inaugurated the new 16-bed ‘Child Psychiatric Inpatient Ward.’
