Nepal’s peace process serves as a global model: PM Oli



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has emphasized that Nepal’s peace process is fundamental to its success.

Speaking at a House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday, PM Oli stated, “Our peace process is homegrown. We have progressed in our own way. It is original. That is why it is successful.”

Prime Minister Oli further claimed that Nepal’s peace process serves as a global model.

“We have advanced the process of peace and conflict management as a model for the world,” he said.

“After 18 years, we have achieved significant milestones in conflict management,” he said while addressing today’s meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR).

A bill related to transitional justice has been tabled in today’s meeting of the HoR.

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ajay Kumar Chaurasia presented a proposal in the meeting seeking endorsement of the Commission for Investigation of Forced Disappeared Persons, Truth and Reconciliation (Third Amendment) Bill, 2081 BS.
