Landslide obstructs Narayangadh-Butwal highway

BUTWAL: The Narayangadh-Butwal section of the East-West Highway in Nawalparasi has been obstructed due to a landslide.

The road has been obstructed in Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality-2, Nawalparasi, following a landslide at the location previously affected by flooding.

Bedh Bahadur Paudel, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Bardghat Susta East, stated that the road, which had been operating as a one-way route since Tuesday evening, was blocked again due to last night’s rain.

Efforts to reopen the road are ongoing.
